I was so lost in an empty wasteland
Searching for what I did not know
I could find nothing to satisfy me
Oh, I was starving in my soul
I cried to You, Lord, in my great distress
You filled my life with Your goodness
You pick me up
You lift my head
You breathed in life
When I was dead
You broke my chains
You set me free
How can I thank You,
Lord, for all You do for me
I sat in darkness, the pit of despair
Bound up with chains of misery
I was sick, I was broken and dying
Then You looked on me with mercy
In my great distress, Lord, I cried out to You
And Your great love came to the rescue
You pick me up
You lift my head
You breathed in life
When I was dead
You broke my chains
You set me free
How can I thank You,
Lord, for all You do for me
You turn the desert into waters of life
You turn the darkness into glorious light
You calm the storms and still the waves
So forever I will sing Your praise
You never let me down
You pick me up
You lift my head
You breathed in life
When I was dead
You broke my chains
You set me free
How can I thank You,
Lord, for all You do for me

See all of Psalm 107
Psalm 107:14-15 He led them from the darkness and despair; He snapped their chains. Let them praise the Lord for His great love and for the wonderful things He has done for them.
