A southwest wind found itself carressing the
leaves.
I, standing between the maple and forget me
nots, was lavished with a tantalizing elf
whisper.
The breeze was welcome company.
Stopping just short of a kiss, it came and
went on butterfly feet and I envy the wind
that pleases as it wishes.
I pouted with the forget me nots knowing how
they felt to be acknowledged then forgotten.
I awoke this morning and told the pillow that
the elf had a purpose in his whisper.
Sleeping beauty sends warm salutations to the
southwest wind.
