Worries weigh on my mind
And I can’t seem to hold my chin up
Where is the answer I can’t find
Now I think that I have to give up
God, I can’t carry this another day
But that’s when I hear You say…
“Lay it down, here at My feet
I’ll take care of you, only trust Me
Run to My arms and there find My peace
Then My child, you will finally see
All your strength is spent
‘Cause you were never meant to carry this.”
I thought I put it down
Why did I take it back again
This burden will make me drown
I know I’m never gonna win
God, I can’t carry this, there’s no way
But You know I’ve heard You say…
“Lay it down, here at My feet
I’ll take care of you, only trust Me
Run to My arms and there find My peace
Then My child, you will finally see
All your strength is spent
‘Cause you were never meant to carry this.”
I lay it down, I pick it up
I start over, I give up
I see there’s something wrong with me
Why do I need to do it my own way
God, help me to obey when You say…
“Lay it down, here at My feet
I’ll take care of you, only trust Me
Run to My arms and there find My peace
Then My child, you will finally see
All your strength is spent
‘Cause you were never meant to carry this.”

Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
