Looking to the horizon I see
Home shores awaiting me
Too long have I been away
This time I am home to stay
To see the smiles on familiar faces
Coming home from foreign places
Those whom I hold so dear
Are upon that shore that draws near
Across the seas and through canals
Sometimes it seems to be the gates of Hell
Through troubles and temptations overcame
Victorious through His holy name
Through this home coming is sweet
As this journey will soon be complete
This is but a glimpse of something more
For that final home coming I have in store.
Borthers and Sisters,
Greetings in the name of the Lord. I am glad to finally to be able to get back online and visit with my family here. I am sorry for my long silence.
As you can tell from the poem that my time overseas is ending. As I right this Europe is behind us and America ahead. In a few short weeks I will be home with my family. I was blessed with a little visit a few weeks ago to get them moved to the new location. What a blessing to spend even that little bit of time with my family after being away for near 6 months.
God is good and He blesses me always. As I look forward to this homecoming, it put me in the mind of that final homecoming when it is the love of our life, Jesus, standing there welcoming me home. The joy I feel knowing that I will see my family again in a few short weeks is great, but what joy will there be when we reach that final shore?
God bless you for your prayers and support over this trial. Keep serving the Lord.
In Christ,
Christian

Christian, I echo everyone, especially Jody Goode. Like the others, I, too, am looking forward to reading lessons learned from your experiences. I rejoice with your family over your coming home safely (and wiser). God bless. Thomas
Christian- God bless you and your family as you adjust to being together again. This too will be an ajustment with some trials. These trials will make your family stronger. God Bless you and your family! Love Danette
Praise be to God, Who has faithfully seen you through this trial of separation:) All that you have experienced, I'm sure, has been a lesson which you can bring home to share about getting prepared and ready to go Home. We truly are sojourners in a foreign land and you know better than so many of us what that is like - amidst the temptations and abounding sin finding your way to God and hanging on as though your life depended on it. And so it does. You have lived it in our world, Christian. I look forward to reading the lessons learned and find the encouragement in your heartfelt passion for our Lord Who will not fail. May the warm embrace of your loved ones welcoming you home be a glimpse of what is yet to come. Blessings, brother - today and everyday! Jody
Yippee! I am so glad you are on your way home. I know you family must be so anxious to have you home again. Ah yes, God is good. In Christ's Love,

I am so glad that you soon will be home with your family. I remember when you said you were going overseas to serve your country. I have no idea how hard that it must have been to be away from your family and familiar surroundings. I can only just imagine the homesickness and lonliness you have felt. God bless you as you finish your time over seas and get home with your family. I will look forward to more of your writings that come from deep within your heart. ... Helen
You are finally coming home, Hallelujah! I really have missed your writings. You are a gifted writer who touches the heart, soul and mind. I look forward to reading what this experience has taught you. Love and Hugs:) (((Patty)))
