Prophetic events have had, and continue to have, a major impact upon society; whether believed or not believed. It is mysteriously, if not benignly, ingrained into homo-sapien DNA and into the cosmic universe that we know so little about. To some it is as a latent unobserved trait. In others, as a "cry in the wilderness" voice that cannot be quenched.
Tremendous internal and external shifts have been mounting within our world and within the people of the world. Societies and cultures have cross-pollinated to the point of homogenized globalization. Leaving trails of controversial exploitations and masses of disenfranchised populaces. Yet prophetic events keep marching on as if to circumvent all realities, ages, times, and human genealogies. All of which are still readable within the Christian Bibles of today, and also in many of the great ancient texts that are housed within our historic libraries worldwide.
A bit too heady for you? Well, it all boils down to this ... there are a great number of individuals who do not know which way to turn, what to believe, or who to trust. A great number of people full of distrust, disrespect, anger, egocentric pride, greed, and blind stupidity in moral disintegration. They are our neighbors, colleagues, coworkers, friends, and family. They are nationwide, and they are worldwide. They are us, in general.
Many of these people converge in like-minded groups full of dual mystic religiosity that dares to excel into spiritual heights far past nirvana. Other conglomerations of groups gather in pessimistic and atheistic concessions, bent on denial of all hierarchies of any kind, including any orthodox godliness. On the far outer fringe, there is a sect that is quietly waiting for the next turn of perponderous global events with a radical, melancholic calm that unravels all the philosophical metaphors from any manic groups mentioned or not mentioned.
Sorry, once again, a little too heady. Simply put, there are a growing number of people who have come out of all these so-called socially-correct or socially incorrect groups. A people holding fast to one belief above all others. The simple belief that Jesus Christ is good as his word. Perhaps not an intellectual group like some of the others, but intelligent enough to understand that they do not have the final word about anything. Especially concerning the state of the world, the universe, and its heritage; little less its future. A people steadily gazing upon the plumb line of history and marking the time.
We can be sure our earthly history has not unfolded all of its hallucinatory events that are due. Prophecy however has its own dates and times, which are not always formulated and presented to the understanding of mankind, but given, nevertheless, to contemplate and, hitherto, watch unfold.
Does mankind have any say in the prophetic events and the drama being played out? Is there a final cue being waited upon? Do we blindly accept what is set before us, or do we instruct ourselves in changing the course of history for our world and for ourselves?
Questions with an eternal weight. Prophecy it seems is more often misunderstood, feared, and disbelieved. It seems, to endanger and exploit our own existence. For if biblical prophecies are true, then God is in control and we are not. If such prophecies are not true, then God is not in control and in reality - neither are we. If we were really in control, our world situations should all be very different at this time in our history. Especially since we have all the advantages that science and technology can provide. Yet, these great advantages seem to vacillate and do not seem to provide the masterful answers to bring about a competent change. Nor are we able to rectify some of the world's problems that are on so many different levels within the nations, governments, and societies that we abide in.
Ah, but prophecy has explained all of this too. Not enough, apparently. Since the course of our destruction seems to be speeding up, instead of slowing down. But again, prophecy has explained this also. So, in the event that you don't know by now, the only suggestion that follows is to dig into your bible and find out for yourself. Enough has been presented online, taught within the churches, and spoken about in liturgies by so many teachers, preachers, spokes men and women that it is time for each one of us to find out for ourselves exactly what is going on. So if you don't know by now, this article will be of no further use to you. Find out for yourself. Don't rely on anyone else, because, in the final say, it is all between you and God anyway. That is, whether you believe it or not.
