Now Moses was keeping the flock
of his father-in-law, Jethro.....
and he led his flock to the
west side of the wilderness,
and came to Horeb.....
the angel of the Lord
appeared to him in a flame
of fire out of the midst
of a bush...........and Moses
said......'I will see this great
sight'.....God called to him
out of the bush,
'Moses! Moses!'
[Exodus 3:1-4]

"Lord? LORD?
LORD! LORD!!"
"What."
"Guess what, Lord?
I'm back to my ole'
self, AGAIN!"
"I can see that, My child."
"It was just too bland, Lord:
goin' a whole day without
kvetching to You. I couldn't
STAND it. I almost went
BONKERS."
[NOD.]
"As a friend said to me,
'Kvetching's in your blood!'"
[SOLEMN NOD.]
"Praying, without
a whole lot of
misery and complaining
thrown in, is like
eating chicken nuggets
without a puddle a' ketchup.
(silence)
I mean, you can do it,
but it's just not
the same."
"I understand, My precious."
"......Or, eating ANYTHING
without ketchup, for that
matter.
(silence)
Hey, Lord? Remember that time
I was at that 5-star
restaurant in Paris,
and I was looking for some
ketchup to put on my
fancy fish stuff?
I thought the waiter
was gonna' throw his
charger plate at me!"
[NOD.]
"Life has many trials,
My precious."
"You BET.
Hey, Lord?"
"Yes, My beloved?"
"Listen, I've a lot kvetches
built up, from yesterday's
fast. How do You
want to hear them:
like, one at a time, or
in a big clump?"
"What are you thinking
of now, My child."
"French fries?"
[NOD.]
*************************
Then Moses answered,
but behold, they will not
believe me,
or listen to my voice!.....
The Lord said to him,
What is that in your hand?
(Moses) said, 'A rod.'....
'Cast it on the ground!'......
so (Moses) cast it on the
ground and it became a serpent....
But Moses said to the Lord,
Oh, My Lord! I am not eloquent.....
I am slow of speech and of tongue....
The Lord said to him..........Go, and I
will be with your mouth and teach you....
But (Moses) said, 'Oh, my Lord!
Send, I pray, some other person!'
Then the anger of the Lord was
kindled against Moses........
