The latest controversial showdown between the Godly and the Ungodly is taking place right now in Montgomery Alabama where an extremely upright and Godly judge by the name of Roy Moore placed a monument of the Ten Commandments in the courthouse where he preceded over the bench.
The monument has been a sore spot for a few of the local so-called atheists who have taken legal action to have the monument removed. Someone claimed that just walking into the courthouse and seeing the monument, offended them, so they got a federal court Judge to order Judge Moore to remove the monument, and he has fervently refused to do so on the grounds that it would violate everything that the law stands for.
Why do these people hate the Ten Commandments so much?
Godís Holy Word gives us the answer to that question:
Romans 3:20 Ö.for through the Law comes the consciousness of sin.
Basically this is what it comes down to. These ungodly individuals whom are hell bent to have the monument removed from the courthouse are simply having a violent reaction to the inner knowledge of their own sin. In other words, every time they see this monument, or any other representation of the Ten Commandments, or are exposed to anything Biblical, it is revealed to them that they are lost sinners in the eyeís of God, and on their way to Hell.
Lost people no matter if they claim to be atheists or not, can not stand to be reminded that they are lost sinners, that is what is offending them, not the actual monument itself.
When they see the monument they know full well what it represents, and they cannot stand it.
It is something that is taking place in the spiritual realm as well, deep in the subconscious sectors of their tiny minds; they are blinded to the truth of the Gospel. God's Word tells us that in the last day's he will blind the minds of those who are unbelievers.
Jesus warned us that these things would happen so they should not surprise us. As time is coming to a close for the world as we know it, these occurrences will become more numerous, we as Godís people must take a stand and be heard.
I thank God for all of those who made the trip down to Alabama to stand up for what is right, God Bless each and every one of them.
Let me ask you some questions, Have you prayed for these people? Have you prayed for Judge Roy Moore? Do you even care about the things that are happening in our society?
Dear Christian Friends,
It is time for the Church to arise and take the rightful authority that has been given to it by its Commander and Chief! Jesus Christ! It is time to engage in major spiritual warfare, this is done in several ways, the first and foremost is Prayer! Have you prayed lately? I mean really prayed, and took seriously what you were praying about.
Another one is to actually physically take a stand, you can do this by writing letters to your local newspaper, by taking a stand on moral and spiritual issues you are a testimony to your local community.
You can also go and protest like these people did in Alabama, it might cost you something like a fine, or bail if you are arrested, but donít be afraid to take a stand, do it while you still have the right to do it.
The church cannot afford to sit on its duff any longer! We must be BOLD in our mission to be salt and light to our local communities, as well as our nation.
