Paul took Silas and Barnabas took Mark
As they embarked on Journey number two
They had sharply disagreed over Mark
Barnabas stood by Mark, would not let him stew.
They went their way but the Spirit was leading
Saying ‘No’ to them when it was too soon
Guidance came to Paul while he was sleeping
They departed early before it was noon.
The Island of Cyprus greeted Barnabas
They made in-roads, preaching the Word of Life
And Asia Minor embraced Paul and Silas
Imprisoned, yet Paul wrote letters of life.
Lydia led the way by coming to God
Not just herself but also her household
They were delighted, receiving the Word
They thought it was a present more than gold.
Acts 15:36 to Acts 16:15
