Whose foundation are you building upon?

This week I heard a sermon that touched the core of my sprit. The pastor asked the following question, Will my life work save those from God’s fiery judgment? Allowing that question to soak into my mind, I personalized the statement and reviewed my interactions with family members, co-workers, and friends. After thinking this question over, I studied Paul’s letter Corinthians 3:1-20 which describes who laid the foundations we are to build upon. Time after time mankind applauds the labors of their hand. They say come look at the tree that's gown from the seeds we planted. Paul explains his gift was to plant seed and Apollo’s gift to water the seed and only through God can the seed grow.

My gift, to introduce my children into the sprit of Jesus Christ and allow the power of the Holy Father to enrich their lives through His Grace, to act with Love, Peace through a fulfillment of Joy and Happiness. Sure, they will struggle to make the right decisions in this world. However, if they choose a Kingdom lifestyle, realizing we together are the temple of God and that the Sprit of God lives in us. Understanding they have a change to pass along the knowledge of Christ to the next generation.
