The priests of Old
Were the descendants of Levi
Just as the prophets foretold
We have a new and High Priest
The Levites were approved by God
Offering sacrifices for sins
Forgiveness through animal blood
Having sacrificed for themselves first
The Lord Himself is our High Priest
Offering Himself by having His blood shed
No need for further blood sacrifice
But obedience, contrite heart, praises and worship being Spirit led.
You too are now a priest and a king
A priest higher than Aaron and Levites
Far above the enemies sting
You are priest of the King of Kings
