Everything . . . was so grand
With not a worry in life, at all
Always so confident, I would stand
Never dreaming, I would fall
I never had any valley's, come upon me
I stood always, at the mountaintop
Only rainbow's and sunshine, did I see
I never knew, someday it would stop
The time came, ever so fast
Lightning, rain and thunder
Darkness all around me. . .was cast
I felt myself slowly, going under
I wasnt prepared, I wasn't wise
Paradise. . .was all that I understood
I see better now, I realize
I'm appreciative, of all thing's good
So, let this be a lesson, unto you
Don't ever take things for granted
For you might find in the end
Your view of life, was so . . . Slanted!
