The Word of God is powerful and active and is able to make us fruitful, yet to be fruitful as the Lord desires in our lives there are certain preconditions and post conditions...
"But other seed fell on good ground and yielded a crop that sprang up, increased and produced: some thirty fold, some sixty, and some a hundred."

Preconditions :
Before the seed is sowed in, the land has to be prepared and tilled.:- We need to prepare ourselves in humbleness with a hunger and thirst for God's Word and accept it with Faith..the precious Word will then fit in this warm welcome and function fully with all its power and glory.
Post conditions:
After we have received the precious Word of God we need to believe it fully without any doubt and abide in it. Oppositions will arise, but they who overcome will truly be fruitful.
A fruitful life is what the Lord desires of us and so should we.
The Word of God is available for us, let's prepare ourselves to receive it with a deep hunger and thirst and after we are filled, let's be thankful to God and let's abide in the Word, come whatever may let's not lose the precious Word and then as God has promised we will see ourselves fruitful and blessed in the Lord's presence forever and ever.
