MY LORD IS BIGGER

I know my Lord is bigger, than my little mind can know,
And I know His love is greater than my little eyes can see.
He’s far too great for the world to know by weights and scales and measure.
I know my Lord is bigger, than my little mind can know.
Bridge:
He’s bigger than my wildest wandering daydreams.
He’s bigger than the Devil’s wily schemes.
He is bigger than this world’s philosophy,
Because He’s bigger, bigger, bigger—bigger than me.
I know His voice is sweeter than my little ears can hear,
And I know His touch is softer than my little arms can feel.
His voice so sweet; it makes a heart complete. I want to hear it better.
I know my Lord is bigger, than my little mind can know.
He made the world from nothing, and He never used a tool.
He did not need a trellis, and He never went to school.
His thoughts abound in the trees and flowers, and this is what they tell us:
Our God is much much bigger, than our little minds can know.

I know my Lord is stronger, than any in command,
And thus His arms will hold me, whatever be at hand.
He’s stronger far than the muscled man; more than earth rests on His shoulder.
I know my Lord is bigger, than my little mind can know.
I know He died to save me, and heaven is in store.
And in the Word He gave me, are mysteries galore.
Sometimes I get a glimpse of Him, that gives a hint of so much more,
That I long to know Him better than I ever did before.
That I long to know Him better than I ever did before.

I know my Lord is bigger than all I’ll ever learn.
He’ll give me greater glimpses when ninety-nine I turn.
So much to show. Even old folks know, there’s always something greater.
Because my Lord is bigger, I can grow and grow and grow.
