Author requests article critique

As a Christian Single, I have to admit that I need someone

I need someone that will be there for me when I fall
And not question me if I'm a Christian

I need someone who will stand by me during the good times and the bad times

I need someone who will always look for a way to be a blessing to me
Even when I don't deserve it

I need someone that will continue to guide me on the right path
Even when I don't act like I want to walk on it

I need someone who will show mercy on me
Even after I continue to offend with the same offense

I need someone who will be proud to walk with me wherever I go
And not be ashamed of me as I won't be ashamed of their company

I need someone who will not take away the gifts that was already given to me
Even after I did not deserve them in the first place

I need someone to be with me on those lonely Saturday nights
Even if I didn't want to go out, but chose to stay in

I need someone who I can love, rely on, trust in, share my life with, tell the world about, learn from, emulate and spend the rest of my life with

Wait a minute, I do have such a person, and that person is my God, and His name is Jesus Christ and He is all of those things and more

Anyone else who comes into my life would be icing on the cake

This is a great message. It's so easy, when single, to want "someone" more than "The One." I have to constantly remind myself that I already have what I need, and to not insult Him with other thoughts. Great message! Thanks for sharing.

I've been single for ten years. Jesus and my daughter have been my life. I have now reached an age where I really would like someone. Amen.
