Branches bend
Sun-spots dapple
Cow tails swish
Breezes tease
Creek bed cracks
Pasture calls
Bare toes saunter
Calves run
Foxtail tickles
Birds glide
Grasses scratch
Cannot breathe
Heat presses
Start to run
Eyes overflow
Tears cascade
Stumble stumble
Blind I gasp
Air can’t enter
Lungs hurt
Try to scream
Want to die
Cannot hope
Feelings yell
Stomach flip-flops
Unknowns fester
Must go hide
My soul to mend
Something clamors
Deep down shudders
Makes me listen
Wants to work
Prostrate I fall
Hot sun bakes
Whole self shudders
Can I yield
Myself disclose
So He can heal
My heart waits
