Been so afraid to follow after my dreams-
The more I seem to reach for them, the further away they seem.
Faced some disappointments & other troubles that life brings-
Stood toe to toe with stuff that tried to clip my wings.
But look at me now- breaking through the grips of fear
Standing my ground in spite of those who said I shouldn't be here.
Trusting in You God- believing You'll fulfill Your plan in me
And bring me to my place of destiny.
Yeah, look at me now taking a leap of faith- giving it one more try
Determined to fulfill the assignment on my life
Letting go of the past and all the excuses of yester year-
I'm spreading my wings. I'm taking flight and I'm going somewhere.
Breaking free of everything and everyone that's negative
Finally unafraid to really live.
Unafraid to give what was placed in me to give.
Soaring up to heights that are unimaginative.

While we wait for our dreams to come to pass, especially those that seem most farfetched, the waiting does oftentimes become disheartening, especially if we've waited many years. But God never fails. If He sets that dream firmly in our hearts, He will come through for us. I'm waiting. Been waiting a long, long time. But I've got my arms stretched wide with you, knowing that God is God and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever... even when we aren't. What an encouragement and comforting reminder to keep on praising the Lord your article was for me today.
