Most people are afraid to say the “C” word,
Not me I fling the word around a bit ~
For it has lost its power to hold me speechless
I’ve learned there’s little way avoiding it.
But
I’ve learned some things that make that “word” uneasy,
If I just laugh and joke around in fun;
It does my face a lot of good ~ just grinning
I think the cancer knows it’s lost ~ I’ve won
Besides
The sun is breaking through all those old dark clouds,
And I am finding out more truth each passing day ~
There may be gray clouds scattered there above me ~
But, there’s more blue heaven there, than there is gray.
