Lord, I want to walk where angels walk
My desperation cried
He took from me that hopeless thought
He held me and replied;
“I placed you just where you should be
Precious child of mine
I have a world still for you to see
It is not your time.”
I desired to go to an ancient land
Just my God and me
He took me tenderly by the hand
And led me to the sea
He said “Look, before time began,
This is what I made”
I stood beside God in the sand
Watching ocean waves.
I wanted to go to a Holy land
God led me to a church
Worshippers like an angelic band
In Spirit and in works.
I wanted to see where saints had been
God led me to a door
Of an old church now abandoned
Where praise was heard no more.
I wanted to see where battles were fought
God led me to a grave
There etched, “The word of God He taught,
He fought for souls to save”.
I said I want to go and reach the lost
I found myself at home
“Teach them about My blood’s cost,
Lead them to My throne.
God listens to every request I ask
He answers when I pray
He may not give me a mighty task
He guides me in His way.
God answers our prayers but in His time, His will, and His way. Look for where God sends you- It may have been just what you prayed for but didn't realize it.

Certainly, graves of Christians represent many battles fought with satan while on earth and victoriously won through Jesus. Oh, the stories those graves could tell. But, the greatest battle was the one fought and won by our Lord, Himself. Great work. Thomas
So well put together, great flow, and very creative. But the greatest quality is its message... which makes the reader want to look for answers they might not have seen before. And that's what God really wants... for us to open our hearts to His will and His ways. Beautifully, beautifully, beautifully penned.
This is a wonderful poem. I like the structure of the poem and the play of words. Amen. Keep on writing dear sister.

Great poem! Yes, we are often eager for God to answer prayer the way WE want it answered, but God answers it the way HE knows to answer it. It is like with children. Often they don't get what they want because the parent knows it isn't the best for them. God knows best how to answer prayer. Thanks for sharing. God bless you....
