Breaking news flashes across the tv screen
A Little childs face with have you seen
This Little girl the age of seven
Now Enters into the gates of heaven
Mama at home screaming why
God picked her child that had to die
Preacher trys to find the words to say
As all her family bows their head to pray
Tears flow like rain among the crowd
You hear her mother scream out loud
Why must you punish me by taking a child
She's straightened up not running wild
Do paybacks come so late in life
To take a child from my wife
You say no more than we can stand
And I know our lives is inside your hand
And even though I may never know why
That daddy's little girl had to die
I know it is written your book
And one day I will take a look
At my name beside hers written in gold
And all my why's answer will finally be told.
Breaking news flashes across the screen
Another Missing face With have you seen...

Always an incredible tragedy and always impossible to understand. Without faith, it would be even worse. Lisa, there was one main thing that jumped out when I read this, and that was the fact that you said her mother cried out loud, then led into a narrative from the mother. But then you wrote "take a child from my wife" as though this was from the Father's perspective. If you did mean it be the mother crying out loud followed by the father making the speech, it needs to be made clearer. Oh, and I haven't forgotten you - I'll be writing to you very soon. My husband has been very ill for the last five weeks and has just gone into hospital a few days ago. Not surprisingly, things have been a little topsy turvy - but I'll hopefully get a chance to write to you either today or tomorrow. With love, Deb
