One who ascends too quickly to great heights.
Also is subject to stumble just the same.
One who is steadfast in his faithfulness.
He remains the same in the face of adversity.
Perseverance does not come by way of haste.
Nor proven character through ease.
For who has known victory without any battle.
And who better knows peace than the man of persecution.
Who better knows joy than the one of much sorrow.
Who better knows hope than he of great despair.
Who can know rest, except by the sweat of his brow.
It is the man of great understanding who may kiss the hand of his enemies.
It is the path of glory one wrought with much adversity.
He who seeks only ease, seeks also his own destruction.
He cares not for glory & honor.
He who accepts not his sufferings refuses also his perfection.
He who loves his discipline loves also understanding.
For who can know the purity of gold without the intensity of the fire.
The man of understanding knows well.
The man of flesh sees the adversity & resists with all his might for self preservation.
The spiritual man recognizes adversity as the vehicle which imparts purity for the life eternal.
For wisdom knows that foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child.
It is the rod of discipline that drives it out.
The man of understanding knows that he is but a tender child to his heavenly Father.
The child would do well to accept his Father’s loving hand.
