Our neighbor is 88 years old. He has spent the last years of his life serving his community well.
For nearly fifteen years since having to retire, he has worked around the neighborhood helping everyone in small ways.
For over ten years, he kept active by bringing everybody’s garbage can up the steep driveways back up their house on trash days.
He tells everyone that he serves God by serving his fellow man.
His recent surgery prevented him from picking up anything heavy anymore. Now he sits in the yard in a chair and waves and tips his hat at every car that pass by.
When he is not in place, waving, we miss him.
Christians should be known for good works.
It makes you wonder. Will I be missed when I am gone?
