A grandson watched his grandmother standing with arms outstretched to God, listening to her favorite praise music.
Grandma, who are you waving at?
“I am waving in praise to God.”
“Why?”
“Because I love and honor God and I lift my hands to him.”
“God is in heaven. Can he see you?”
“Yes, God is in heaven but He is also everywhere. He sees everything and everybody and He is everywhere at the same time.”
“Wow. Does God ever wave back”?
“Yes.”
“How do you know?”
“His word says He inhabits our praise. That means He is with us when we praise Him.
I believe I am healed, and made joyful and restored when I lift my hands to God.”
About twenty minutes later the little boy came into the house with a crisp new five dollar bill in his hands.
His grandmother asked, “Where did you get that money?”
He said, “I was waving at God. Granddaddy saw me through the living room window and thought I was waving at him. He called me outside and gave me five dollars!”
“That’s a blessing!”
The boy folded the money and put it in his pocket.
“Tomorrow I am going to wave at God and Granddaddy again!”

What a great reminder that we are truly blessed when we take the time to "wave at God." Since you wrote as an explanation to a child, it is suitable for all ages. Nice job!
