I don't want peace
The peace of Laish
Self-sufficient peace
Everyone-at-arm's-length peace
No-one-to-rebuke-me peace
I-can-do-as-I-please peace
That is the peace
The peace of Laish.
I want to need you always Lord
I never want to be enough
I want to need the brethren too
Arm's length must be a thousand miles
Too far to keep the ones I love
Rebuke me Lord, I do not mind
Just let Laish be far from me
For when war came they were o'ercome
Too far for anyone to help.
