Kids & Parenting
Every afternoon at the same time the mother and her little daughter took a nap. Dinner was prepared and there was about a two hour wait until the father came home from work.
It was their special time of the day.
The mother and the daughter enjoyed reading Bible stories and the little girl enjoyed coloring in her Bible coloring book.
One day the mother and daughter lay down around 2 pm as usual for their daily afternoon nap.
After about twenty minutes, the mother awoke momentarily and looked down at the child who was lying beside her on a blanket on the floor.
It must have been a vision. The child had musical notes all over and around her. Her chest and her little stomach was covered in musical notes and chords!
The mother blinked her eyes and cleared her vision and looked again. The vision had disappeared.
She thought about the vision for a long time, and believe that God had allowed her to see the gift that he had blessed the child with.
Unfortunately the child never got music lessons, or any kind of musical training. It was negligence and a tragedy.
The child grew up loving music very much and often got into music that was not good for her spiritual growth.
Decades later, the mother was going to have a special program at her home and rented a piano.
The daughter, now 24, got up around 7 am one Saturday morning while the rest of the family was still in bed.
She sat at the piano and began to play the most beautiful melodies.
Not songs, just beautiful chords and melodies—like the music you might hear in a grand hotel or music that a talented pianist plays as ambiance.
All of the family members listened in surprised silence for a while then got up in their robes and pajamas and stood around her.
“How are you playing that piano?”
“I don’t know,” the daughter said with a faraway happy look in her eyes, “ My fingers just know…”
Unfortunately it did not last. The next time she tried to play it was terrible, racket, noise.
"Well", the mother said, “Just once God showed you how things could have been if you had only studied. And the gift is still there."
The gifts and callings of God are without repentance, Romans 11:29, which means that when God gives us gifts, he does not take them from us. We have them always.
Does your child or grandchild have music inside of them?
A good teacher will guide and teach the child to develop their talent to the glory of God.
Beautiful anointed music soothes the soul and sets the captive free.
