We are free from the curse of the law. What we do, say, and hear helps us maintain our liberty.
Proverbs 4:20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all thy flesh.
Disease is one of the curses of the law.
Jesus took all of them upon himself.
Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
What can we do when we are enduring illness? We can always consider the word.
The word tells us that the spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity.
We have to keep going.
We have to keep considering the word.
We have to keep ourselves in the love and joy of God.
We have to keep our spirits up.
The Bible speaks of a wounded spirit. It is unbearable.
I Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
What we listen to during any trial is very important.
We cannot even listen to ourselves if we have gotten negative and hopeless.
We listen to whatever makes us happy, joyful and keeps our minds on God’s promises. Because of the cross, it is ALL finished!
