Last night the clouds came rolling in,
a storm was on its way,
lightning flashed its spears of light,
making the night like day.
Rain came down just like a flood,
it drummed upon the roof;
as if God were saying 'this is My world,
and this is the living proof.'
For who of us could stop the storm,
still the thunder, hold back a lightning strike?
Stop even one drop of rain from falling,
We have no authority, no Kingly might.
Yet this is the same God who smiled on me,
transformed my life, made it new,
and cared so much that I be content and happy,
that He gave me love when He gave me you!
I am still amazed to know that God cares,
that He'll show me where to go and what to do,
He brought me out of the storms of my life,
and placed me under the rainbow's hues.
I still have the storms, but look through to the light,
knowing that God will always get us through,
and I dance in the wonder of the rainbow skies,
for joy is mine, because I LOVE YOU!
