One day I was working in the yard when an elderly gentleman’s car that was parked in our drive way, began to roll backwards into the street. It was a fairly busy street and all I could think was that the car was going to roll into the street and hit someone. I rushed behind the car and held my arms out to catch it. I repeat- I RUSHED BEHIND THE CAR AND HELD MY ARMS OUT TO CATCH IT! Somehow instead of continuing to roll toward me the car suddenly turned and backed itself neatly along the side of the street next to my mail box. A neighbor ran outside in shock. “What were you thinking!!” “I don’t know…” I was still dazed. I then realized that I had tried to stop a vehicle that weighed over a ton with my bare hands. “Your angels were on guard today,” she continued. “And one of them can drive backwards better than a professional race car driver!” Copyright 2007 If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven?
