We were all born of the flesh. In due time, we became born of the Spirit through the redemptive power of the blood of Jesus, whom we confessed at one time or the other as our Lord and savior. We believe in the saving grace of His name and like the first followers and disciples of Jesus Christ, we became Christians.
The Christian walk and life now depends on how we work our salvation out. It is important to work it out as Apostle Paul said “with fear and trembling”(Phi.2:12). When trials, tribulation and persecution come, there is the tendency for doubt and fear to set in and for one to even deny the name of the Lord or to start searching for alternatives. We must keep on believing in the name of the Lord. It is a strong tower which the righteous in Him can run to all the time and be saved. (Pro. 18:10). As Christians we shall go through trials and it is only through such trials that our faith in the name of Jesus is challenged and in them only can we make new discoveries in Christ and then glorify Him in victories and testimonies. (1 Peter 1: 7, 1 Pet. 4:12, 1 Cor. 3:13.).
New age philosophies should not be allowed to slip into the church, the church being the body of Christ. Other doctrines of the antichrist which captivate peoples mind when trials come are only lies that put believers in bondage that in turn sets them for undesirable end. By teaching and encouragement and by our own examples, our children should be made to know and discover through the help of the Holy Spirit that Jesus is the only true way to the Father and it is the name that answers in all and every situations of life.
The word of God is Jesus. God has lifted His word above His name, and until God becomes our Lord by faith and revelation, we may not know the essence of the name of our Lord. “At the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father.” (Phi 2:10-11).
In Conclusion, according to the word of God (Act. 4: 12), “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
(Rev. 2: 4, Rev.3: 8-12) (All passages are from NKJV)
