Courage, vision, wisdom, experience, grit and understanding are true benchmarks of leadership.
A leader must have a vision or where he or she wants the corporation or family to go and the courage to implement those practices.
The wisdom comes from experience; we learn what the good decisions are and aren't and trust our guts.
It takes grit, as leaders have critics and doubters; therefore, it is necessary to have a storng sense of self.
Finally, understanding. Undestanding those who are following you and what their needs are and what their strong and weak points are and using their skills for the good of the unit.
Lord, help me be a leader.
