True or skewed point of view?

This life oh Lord
is full of hardships,
and chords of vanity and strife
trying to strangle the sanity and life
out of me.
I see tragedies,
all around me.
Taking place day by day
life’s a witch
some might say
But I look away
toward the light
focusing forward
with second sight
On those things that delight
my being.
There are sights worth seeing,
there are good feelings
when I look as I should
on the noble and good.
Life’s best understood
from a positive perspective.
Lord lend me lenses
that are corrective,
since so much is subjective.

"Lord lend me lenses that are corrective, since so much is subjective." Ain't that the truth! Good poem. And the reason it is such a good poem is because it sounds like a raw effort that was based on true feeling and not a forced out, forged diamond. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. May God bless. Sincerely, Dan Blankenship
