In the mirror I see
hardened eyes glare at me
filled with years of rejection and pain.
Been so giving with my heart,
I was doomed from the start,
learned my lesson, now I’ll never be the same.
Ran fast as I can
to the promise of man,
no sins did he claim or confess.
Worldly love by my side,
but it withered and died
beware oaths made of passion and flesh.
Since my wild days of old
had my dreams bought and sold
praying God to send peace once again.
Though it was bequeathed
Peace could not be conceived
So I marched toward the rainbow’s end.
If fate should pass by
through this dark moonlit sky
I’ll deny her request with no shame.
Walk this road all alone,
find my way on my own,
shed no tears for there’s no one to blame.
Under sorrow's command
does my heart turn to sand,
no more sorrow no more joy can I feel.
But it’s dark in this place
A million miles from your face,
take my love with my trust as the seal.
Since my wild days of old
had my dreams bought and sold
searching for someone I may call a friend.
Here on God’s golden shore
I’ll wander no more,
I found Jesus at the rainbow’s end.

this is incredible. I think anyone in the world can relate to this poem, and thats what makes it so great. I know the Lord is pleased by what you wrote and He is so glad you ended up in His arms, under His care, thats where we all belong!
Blessings.
