To think that a King would come and die so that we might live forever.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who am I, that I can stand in
The presence of a King,
The One who made the universe –
Created everything?
A sinner so unworthy and
A life that's so undone,
Yet I'm standing in the presence
Of God's own precious Son.
The first time that I entered in
I found myself in awe,
At being in God's throne room not
Because of what I saw.
Even after all these years
Each time I enter in,
To worship and to praise the Lord
Or to confess my sin,
I feel so unworthy being
Treated so royally,
Thank God, it's not the things I've done
It's what He's done for me.
I guess I should start feeling like
The offspring of a King,
For when I was adopted it
Gave me everything.
With my adoption papers came
My Father and His Son,
Now I'm no longer lonely for
I'm not the only one.
I'm not an only child; we have
A great big family,
My Father God, Jesus and my
Brothers, sisters and me.
Now I have loved ones scattered o'er
The whole entire earth,
We are all related by the
Same spiritual birth.
If you'd like to be adopted
Please come and take my hand,
I'll show you the way to heaven
And to the promised land.
Once you join us you will think,
'Who could ask for more?'
Than all the blessings coming from
The One We All Adore.

Carolyn, Wow - this is beautiful. I could relate to it too. That God chose me, sometimes is just so overwhelming - who am I? I loved this. Thanks for the blessing. In Christ's Love,
Julia
