The Lord knows what lies so heavy on my heart. Deep inside I want to change, change the man I am into the man I should be. Weaknesses that I have are said to be “human”, but why should this “human” be so weak? We are all created in God’s image but yet we do ungodly things. Why can I not open up? Why can I not allow Him to take all control? Why do I resist so greatly? Is all the temptation that I am faced with so great that I am not willing to sacrifice? And why am I fighting back the tears as I write this?
I have been so blessed throughout my life. I have a wonderful family, a very memorable childhood, a wonderful and beautiful wife, two beautiful children and one more on the way. I try to be a good husband and father but what am I really? I take for granted everything I have in my life.
I guess I have more searching to do within myself. I need to build the strength to overcome the weaknesses in my life. I need to find the answer. The answer to the question, who am I?
A friend of mine has asked me to post this here to share with you. It is a way for him to test the waters. This opened up a great study for us to share.

I really believe that the hardest thing we will ever have to overcome is our own flesh. But I also believe that God allows us to stumble on occasion so that we might know it is by HIS grace that we live and not that of ourselves. How else can we truly know that His mercy endures forever and through all things? I've cried out for mercy more times than I care to count, so my heart goes out to your friend.
Who are you but a 'Child of the King'? You are blessed beyond what eyes can see for you are created in HIS own image. You have to first understand who you are in Christ before you can answer that question. And when you understand that, you will know that you are everything in Christ. You can do all things through HIM. He connects you to God and so He alone is worthy to be praised. Then once you recognise that, you will then know and understand that you were 'created for HIs pleasure'. Then all you have to do is COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS one by one and realise how blessed you are.
You are blessed to be a Husband - many are still search to find their partners.
You are blessed to be a father - many will not have this pleasure
You are blessed to be a leader and a teacher. Being head of your household.
YOU ARE BLESSED CHILD OF THE KING. SO START TO GIVE GOD PRAISE FOR ALL THE BLESSINGS IN YOUR LIFE.

Your sincerety is awesome. I wish more saints had that courage...the courage to be, real. You know when I saw your "title" I had to read your story. Why you say? Because I wrote a story some time ago with the same title. "Who am I" My story is a little different. Please read it , I think you'll find some answers between my words.
