For the first twenty or so years of my life, peace reigned. My days were serene as I walked in faith. Then life's Mixmaster hit at top speed. For the next fifty or so years, because of pure sin, bad judgment and poor choices, I was turned every which way but loose. But through many tears and repentances, one thing never changed: my foot stayed on the Rock.
Then, after all that time, the Mixmaster motor slowed, and there was nothing left but faith in God which is all I had going in--all I ever actually had--only now it showed and glowed like never before. Turned out it was all I ever needed. Now by the grace of God, I can quietly and calmly finish the course. But it was a really wild ride! And how grateful I am that God is patient with his recalcitrant children.
