Standing, lonely, solitary
Limbs of stone are stationary
Roots for spreading underground
Tethered to the Earth, I'm bound
Then you came and grew so near
Ignore the panic, chaos, fear
Branches reaching, gentle, kind
Branches reaching now entwined
An old wind comes to tear apart
Ripping branches, breaking heart
Howling, screaming, clutching wind
Searching for the fear within
Praying, begging, limbs hold tight
All to face the coming night
Twisting, loving, woven limbs
Withstanding pain, withstanding wind
Endless night now forced away
Sky of red begins the day
There we stand, two together
Stronger now and on forever
