I stood in a meadow the other day.
All around me was the reminder of my lot in life.
Depression set in and I realize that I was forever stuck
In the sweat and toil that this life brings.
Gazing up towards the dark side of the mountain,
I saw the golden fingers of the Lord.
Elation over took my depression
Joy bubbled out of my soul.
For in those fingers was the reminder of my redeemer
And I know I will see Him stand again.
Gazing up towards the dark side of the mountain,
I saw the golden fingers of the Lord.
Standing in the presence of my redeemer this small puny man
Felt the love that only He could give.
His radiance reminded me of the awesomeness of His of touch
I long for His touch.
Gazing up towards the dark side of the mountain,
I saw the golden fingers of the Lord
Quietly, I watch those fingers disappear behind the mountain
But His memory stays with me.
His fingers that caressed my face, still linger on my skin.
His glory sustains me.
Gazing up towards the dark side of the mountain,
I see the fingers of my Lord

Thanks for reminding us to keep looking up to Jesus. We may be in the fire but the smell of smoke is not on us. Somehow we are never greatly shaken for long.--Carole
