Poetry
Today has come and brought too much with it.
I stood for as long as I could, but the blow was too much to deal with; and I,
Fell with the waves of the ocean and now I'll drift away in the search for hope.
And while floating aimlessly in an ocean of mixed feelings,
I noticed how familiar this situation was; I
Noticed how all the colors seemed to sway to the same beat.
While this tear & that are distance, they match like long lost sisters.
Dropping clues here & there; I swam on towards,
That same sweet smell of grace, calling me home after years of work
It was the same memory that called me out in the first place.; it
Was the way the morning dew spelled out your name
Surprisingly enough, I knew the language used and it became
Refreshing to my lungs & a quick heart attack for my dead cells,
But with the wake up call, came you
I stumbled around at first, because you came
Quite by surprise to me, but right on time with me, because I
Needed this drop from reality.
