This time I think I’ve bit off more than I can chew.
You never said, but I could tell you felt the same way too.
When a love like ours comes rushing back, revealing its’ plan:
In that same very day, suddenly you’re swept away,
to a distant time and place, when true love met face to face,
and in that same distant land, you begin to understand, you are love.
I could have spent my whole life tryin’ to figure out,
Who to love and what my life’s supposed to be about.
But then your love came rushing back, revealing its’ plan:
And in that same very day, suddenly I’m swept away,
To a distant time and place, when I saw you face to face,
And in that same distant land, I could finally understand, you are love.
When the moment came, it felt so right it brought me to my knees,
And I began to realize who I was, and who I need to be.
But for right now while we’re apart, so you will know its true,
These words are all that I can speak, to show my heart to you:
I’m praying for the very day, when we can be swept away,
To that distant time and place, when true love meets face to face,
I’m longing for that distant land, where I began to understand,
You are love.
