Nicholas rang the doorbell and then peaked through the window to see if anything was going on inside. He rang the doorbell again and did not see or hear anything. He had not heard from or seen the Creator since Thanksgiving Day when they had dinner together. Nicholas walked around the side of the white colored house until he reached the back door and rang the doorbell. He peaked through the window and noticed nothing was going on in the kitchen.
He rang the doorbell one last time and then a horrible thought came to him. ' Maybe he abandoned me because I did something to him' he thought as he started walking toward the white picket fence. He walked down the sidewalk toward the bus stop and just as he reached it, the bus pulled up to the curb. He got on and walked to a nearby seat and started to cry. He thought the Creator was angry with him and did not want to be his friend any longer. He felt someone sit in the chair next to him.
" What's wrong Nicholas?".
