Its the love of God that enables us to keep moving forward despite the opposition. God sent His Son because He loved the world so much. Whoever believes in Him SHALL NOT perish but have everlasting life. It is this act of love for people that didn't deserve it, which drives us to forgive and forget any and all people for their sins against us. It is not us they are coming against when we live in Christ-like presence. That is when our actions in our life match the action or teachings of Jesus for no other reason but LOVE, and doing The Will of the Lord.
When we do these things, and thus become a light to the world others will change. If not right away they will begin a process of change because you dont aid them in responding in such a way that they continue the mess they are in. You have broken their repetitive drama cycle. One in which they wait for your negative response to their negative action; So they can then, continue to be negative out of fear to change for the positive. That is why Jesus comanded us to turn the other cheek. return good for evil, and Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

"When we do these things, and thus become a light to the world others will change" Although I appreciate your courage for writing, I do have to mention that although this statement would not have much to stand on, for you see, that Judas was a disciple and closer to Jesus than most, and even being in the presence of God the Son there was not a change; well, not one for the better anyway. Keep writing and most of all keep reading your bible.
