Some folks find love in the morning,
as they walk down the street hand in hand.
With the girl from next door, to the bus stop,
now don’t you think young love is grand?
Some folks find love around noontime,
as they struggle along through their teens.
Fast cars, long blond hair, and a sweatshirt,
and those popular tight fitting jeans.
Some folks find love around supper,
when their 401-K is secure.
They have climbed to the top of the ladder,
just to find they’re alone; that’s for sure.
Some folks find love around twilight,
after life’s tried to batter them down.
They find many times they are lonely,
and often seen wearing a frown.
But, now love has brought a new sparkle,
to eyes that are again shining bright.
I thank God I’ve been able to witness,
a love that was born at twilight.
Hi Dave, I know you are not in the twilight or evening of your life (by human standards) but isn't it great to find out after all the years of marriage that it only gets better. God bless my friend.
