Contentedly discontent
That's what I'd rather be
Than break the vows I made to you
Spouse of my youth, gift of God.
You're not yet all that I dreamt you'd be
I know that God is still at work in you
It costs much pain, but I will wait
Contentedly discontent, until He's through.
Others may have a perfect spouse
And wonder if my heart won't wander
But spouse of my youth, blessing of God
I have eyes only for you.
Until God's will be done in full
Until His kingdom come in us
I'm content with you, bequest of God
I'll stick to my vows, for victory is sure!
