Poetry
I've known you like a sunny day,
and I never took the time,
to tell you how you warm me up,
I thought you read my mind.
Well now I know it's not the same.
There are words you need to hear
and I didn't mean to take so long,
but the time is finally here.
The time for you to really know,
three words that mean a lot.
But hidden in a silent heart,
Get lost and then forgot.
So as I share this gospel truth,
I'd like for you to know.
The silence that has held my heart,
is finally letting go;
“I LOVE YOU!"

Mark 12:30-31
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no greater commandment than these.

You really touched my heart! Thanks for sharing.
Great poem. Very honest and innocent, yet it gets across the message. Whitney
Great poem, William. I know well how hard it can be to express my emotions and to do so as sincerely as you did so with this poem is remarkable.
Another really lovely poem William. With love, Deb
