Come today
Whatever be it may
The adoration of a child
Oh, my little Ashley Rae
Such joy do I feel
To my knees do I kneel
Giving thanks for the blessing
For my heart she did steal
I never knew
What a child could do
How much happiness
The whole day through
I’ve watched this child grow
And so far I know
That this task is not easy
But toward the future we go
So to this child I say
As she grows each passing day
I know of no child more loved
Than my little Ashley Rae
