'Tetelestai'...what a victorious word,
To hear our Saviour say.
With the debt He paid, and the path He laid,
He spiritually freed mankind from decay.
'Tetelestai'...His blessed work done,
Never needing to be done again;
Though un-believing humanity put to death the Son,
By His divine love agapo He endured the wrath of every sin.
The Earth shook violently when he gave up His Spirit and physically died,
His enemies still in ignorance of what they truly had done.
While many witnesses to His crucification cried,
One Roman soldier opened his mouth wide,
Saying...'Truly this was the Son.'
Of those predestined to be among His elect,
Our glorification draweth nigh.
For He will descend with a shout,
With His angels and saints all about,
Revealing the consummation of His majestic
Utterence.....Tetelestai.
