Ask me today and I'll tell you,
The man that is not forgotten by God,
The man who is measured by the grace in him,
The man who suffers, and stands, him I want to be.
Though not always so, and constantly reminded,
I have no choice. this day and the next, must be,
Yet this is nothing I ever expected,
These days, I am so amazed at God's sweet mercy.
It could have been anyone, but not me, surely,
Through the pain, suffering, blood and tears,
That in all this world, God would look down,
He would look down and choose me.
What do I know?, What could i have known?
What was I? What am i? What is man at all?
Through all this, and even more, I live,
A new hope born in me every morning I have risen.
A life renewed everyday,
And no one knows so much, least of all me at all,
but He does let's us see, so very often,
He let's us see, His great and beautiful mercies.
