In Acceptance Lieth Peace, O my heart be still;
Let thy restless worries cease and accept His will.
Though this test be not thy choice, it is His therefore Rejoice. Amy Carmichael
Acceptance is the first step to changing a painful or bad situation into a blessing from God.
God is Sovereign and everything good or bad that comes to us is from his hand.
Therefore everything in our lives should be received as from God's hand and accepted with joy.
If we are unable to rejoice in the bad situation, then just accepting it and trusting God will bring change.
If there isn't immediate change of the situation, there will be a change of our attitude and any suffering we have been experiencing will be aleviated.
I once found myself in a homeless situation in the dead of winter.
I began worrying, what if I had to live in my car.
I was sick at heart and afraid.
I made the conscious decision that I was going to trust God.
Within an hour I had the funds and bought a house. I was given permission to move in that day.
I actually lived in the house two weeks free before the seller asked for any money for the down-payment.
That was the first time I truly learned and experienced the power of accepting a bad situation and trusting God for the outcome.
Even now my heart is welling up in Praise to God for his Goodness and Love.

Lynda its so nice to meet you. I loved this article. You would have so much of life's experiences and wisdom to share. The part about you being in the cold and having no one and all you did is trust made my hair stand. Then the testimony that He worked a miracle......oh how faithful is our Lord God. Keep writing and inspiring friend. God bless
