Awakened from semi slumber
horror pivots
on an axis of emotion
Realization swerves....
inevitable collision
Human frailty shines
alive to reality's siren call
set in harsh stone
I must live "it"
"It" being large as an ocean
at this moment
Seemingly containing
only verbs...
black verbs
on non ordained mission
Mortality recoils
at snake so poised
DEATH!
A dark action word?
Or passive, resigned noun?
Twilight dream trickery?
I MISS THEM SO!
Dare I forego the rhyme
in dark poems of life?
Waiting for heavenly psalms
intent on my good?
Yes!
Then I remember...
remember those promises...
promises from God...
from God who ingrains...
ingrains in our spirits
HIS WORDS OF LIFE!
LIFE destroys death!
Comfort arises!
Earthly realization
bows to Heaven's Truth
Truth is greater than fact!
Dark twilight...be gone!
Come Perpetual Morning Light!
Envelop me!
