Today's another special day,
tho you would not count it as one,
but when God created the man you would be,
on this day, He pronounced you 'done'!
This day when you first made your appearance,
it was marked with special joy,
for now your parents celebrated your birth,
they rejoiced in their baby boy.
And now I get to celebrate,
to rejoice in the man God created you to be,
for in His infinite wisdom,
God chose to give you to me!
So I will celebrate with such gladness,
I'll dance and sing in this day brand new,
for it's your birthday, and I count the joys
of having another wondrous year with you!
Now I will start to gather up
another collection of hours and days,
to make another memory-book of love,
to say "I LOVE YOU" in 365 new ways....
Every day spent with you is such joy,
I bring my thanks to my God above,
for giving me this most wondrous life,
spent with you, my dearest love!
