HOW MUCH DOES A WORLD FULL OF SIN WEIGH?
ENOUGH TO...break the heart of our loving Lord and Savior:
Matt 27:45-56. 27:45: From the sixth hour until the ninth hour DARKNESS came over the land. Was this caused by a WORLD FULL OF SIN? 27:46 About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"---which mean, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"
27:50: And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, He gave up His spirit.
1 Peter 2:24. He Himself BORE our sins (A WORLD FULL...) in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed.
Hebrews 9:26b-28. But now He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself. Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins (A WORLD FULL...) of many people; and He will APPEAR A SECOND TIME, not to BEAR sin, but to bring SALVATION to those who are waiting for Him.
Wow! It is refreshing how the Word of God continually speaks for itself...Living Word of a Living God!
And He refreshingly does not leave us without hope and encouragement, since Jesus BORE all past, present, and future sins.
1 John 1:9. "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
